Certified B Corp

We achieved something special: we are now B Corp certified. Becoming a B Corp means being evaluated on 200 criteria which cover social and environmental impact. This status is something we have earned by just doing what comes naturally to us. Treating our people well, working fairly with our suppliers, and producing everything sustainably and locally. We have been doing this for 38 years, and now we have official recognition.

True values, New B Corp

Fortunately, there is growing attention to sustainability within the gastronomy sector. Every chef understands the importance of pure, high-quality ingredients. This understanding also goes for the chef wear in which all those amazing dishes are prepared. Awareness of this can and must keep growing. We will ensure this, together with our community.

Original standards, New ideas

We have turned the chef jacket into a fashion item. Now, we are facing a new challenge: continuing to develop our sustainability efforts. We want to show our colleagues in the industry that it’s not that complicated. Simply, it's all about working together and making the right choices.

Le Nouveau Chef challenges other chef wear brands to elevate their game and make impactful choices. For ourselves and for the world around us.

Our Heritage

In 1986, Le Nouveau Chef’s founder Robert ten Hoope discovered how much discomfort chefs were experiencing due to a lack of well-fitting chef jackets.

He spoke with a variety of chefs and started to come up with ideas. He tested his designs endlessly and devel-oped clothing that allowed chefs to experience true freedom of movement in the kitchen.

B Corp Certified Company

It’s official: Le Nouveau Chef has become a certified B Corp company, meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We’re excited to join a global community of businesses committed to positively impact all people, communities, and the planet.
