PET-polyester fabric
Our recycled PET-polyester fabric is the result of a remarkable process that transforms plastic bottles, made from PET, into luxurious polyester. By utilizing this method, we breathe new life into used plastic, which would otherwise contribute to landfill waste and environmental pollution. The production of recycled PET-polyester fabric generates less air, water, and soil contamination compared to non-recycled polyester.

It's worth noting that a portion of a garment's life cycle impact, as well as your energy bill, stems from the laundering process. In our care and stain guides, we share invaluable insights on how to wash, dry, and store your garments in the best, safest, and most friendly manner possible.
Tender loving care
Your PET-polyester fabric, rest assured that it is robust and easy to maintain. For washing, we recommend a low temperature with similar colours, ensuring a gentle cycle that safeguards the integrity of the fabric. Avoid tumble drying, and if necessary, opt for a low spin setting. Should a warmer wash be unavoidable, washing at a temperature of 40°C will not harm your garment. After washing, it's best to dry your garment flat, on a line, or on a drying rack, away from direct sunlight or heat.
This gentle drying approach preserves the fabric's integrity and ensures its long-lasting beauty. If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron and avoid bleach at all costs, as it can harm the fabric's structure. We recommend that you wash all Le Nouveau Chef’s garments before wearing them for the first time to prevent any future grease stains from becoming more difficult to remove.
Reduce microplastic pollution
Microplastics are small particles of plastic that end up in the environment. These microplastics enter natural ecosystems, including water bodies, from various sources such as cosmetics, garments, and industrial processes.
To minimize the release of microplastics from garments containing plastic fibres, we recommend using a microplastics collecting washing bag during the laundering process when washing in small batches. This bag collects microplastics that detach from your garments, preventing them from entering the water supply and protecting our precious ecosystems.
